OPPO had a pretty busy day today, unveiling the OPPO Pad Air tablet, with a 10.36 inch screen, with 2K resolution. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor inside and a very interesting back side texture. It feels like wood, but it’s in fact inspired by sand dunes.
The device is supposed to be a slimmer, lighter and lesser specced version of the OPPO Pad launched months ago. It comes with a 440 gram body, measuring less than 7 mm in thickness. It uses a 10..36 inch IPS LCD display with a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution, plus a 60 Hz refresh rate. There are quad speakers here, with Dolby Atmos for multimedia consumption and we also find an 8 megapixel rear camera, plus a 5 MP selfie camera.
The Snapdragon 680 processor is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. There’s also a 7100 mAh battery with 18W charging and sadly the device doesn’t have a cellular connectivity option. It runs on Android 12 with ColorOS 12 on top, the version tailor made for tablets. We also have a magnetic keyboard available with 1.4 mm key travel and a Smart Stylus which 18 grams weight and 4096 levels of pressure.
It’s available in Star Silver and Fog Grey colors and it starts at $195 for the 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage model, plus $255 for the 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage one.
