We’ve recently played with the OPPO Pad 5 Pro tablet during an event in China and also the OPPO Pad Mini, but now there’s a new tablet incoming. I’m talking about the OPPO Pad 6, which just came up in a few specs and it was confirmed ahead of its launch.

We know that OPPO is supposed to launch a new tablet today, in China, on May 25th at 18:00 and OPPO has already revealed some specs for it. One of the highlights of the product is definitely its design. The tablet measures a mere 5.99 mm in thickness and weighs around 577 grams. It will be available in Starlight Blue, Galaxy Silver and Deep Space Gray. OPPO is using here a 12.1 inch 3K LCD panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate.

The company claims that the “Soft Lught” screen design also helps with the reduction of glare and reflections, making a difference for users who spend long hours reading documents. Inside we find the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor that recently powered the POCO X8 Pro Max handset. Apparently it goes over 3 million points in AnTuTu. The battery life should also be generous, as the device packs a 10.420 mAh battery, with 67W fast charging.

On the software side, OPPO puts a lot of emphasis on multitasking and productivity features. For example things like floating windows, PC style file management are all here, as well as stylus support for productivity. You can also share a nearby phone’s 5G connection directly with the slate. OPPO Pad 6 feels like a decent upgrade for the Pad 5, but not a huge one.
