OPPO is preparing a bit event for April 21st in China and they’ll unveil there the OPPO Find X9 Ultra flagship, plus the OPPO Find X9s. Aside from those, we’ll also get a tablet, presumably a new OPPO Pad Mini.
It’s going to be a smaller tablet, but still with solid specs. It’s aligned with the current trend, as Lenovo keeps making 8.8 inch tablets and also Huawei has made one, too. The latest info comes from Digital Chat Station and depicts the OPPO Pad Mini as an 8.8 inch OLED display device, with a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is different from the usual 16:10. The panel offers a 2880 x 1920 pixel resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate.

It can all scale down to 1 Hz thanks to LTPO technology. Peak brightness is 1800 nits and there’s a coverage for the full DCI-P3 color gamut. Performance-wise, you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, akin to the one on OnePlus 15R. The tablet is quite slim, at 5.39 mm and uses a metal unibody design. It weighs just 279 grams. There’s also a 13 megapixel main camera with a capsule module.
The battery is an 8000 mAh unit, with 67W fast charging. Sounds like it would do gaming, but bypass charging is definitely a requirement.
