OPPO Pad Mini is another one of those 8.8 inch tablets out there ready to take on the iPad Mini, as well as the Huawei MatePad Mini. The product was unveiled last week in China and now it’s available online, priced at $699.
We’re dealing with a high refresh rate AMOLED Device, with a flagship level CPU performance. The OPPO Pad Mini features an 8.8 inch 2.5K AMOLED display, a 2520 x 1680 pixel resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. There’s also up to 1600 nits of peak brightness and very narrow bezels, making the experience immersive. Inside we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, together with the Adreno 829 GPU.
There’s also 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, with a clean and modern UI, plus a ton of AI features. Camera-wise, there’s an 8 megapixel shooter, with a wide angle lens at the front for videocalls and online meetings. At the back we find a 13 megapixel shooter, good for basic photography and document scanning.
The tablet packs an 8000 mAh, with support for 67W SuperVOOC Fast Charging. This lets you quickly top op the battery for a long period of usage. On the connectivity front we have Wi-Fi 7 with 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.4. All coupled with floating window and split screen, AI photo and text editing and Google Gemini, as well as Circle to Search.
