The Nokia T20 tablet has leaked a bunch of times till now, but today finally brings us its launch. The device is a budget slate, that was made available in Wi-Fi and 4G flavors. It’s been 7 years since the last Nokia tablet and now HMD is back at it.
Nokia T20 is promised to have a generous battery life and also fast charging, in order to deliver a full day of work or study. It can do video calls, it has a Kids Space for the little ones and also parental controls. Specs include an 8200 mAh battery, which should provide about 15 hours of usage. This means it can take a full day of work or school, with some hours left for next day.
7 hours of calls are also promised or 10 hours of movies. Charging is done via USB-C through a 15W adapter. Sadly, the retail package only bundles a 10W charger. The screen we’re getting here is a 10.4 inch IPS LCD with a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution and 15:9 aspect ratio. It promises 400 nits of brightness and also has a Brightness Boost mode. Surprisingly there’s also toughened glass here.
The tablet runs on Android 11 and uses an Unisoc Tiger T610 CPU (12 nm) to do so, employing two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8 GHz and 6 Cortex A55 cores at 1.8 GHz. We also get 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. Software-wise, we get 2 years of OS updates and 3 months of monthly security patches.
Finally, there are stereo speakers here, two microphones, an audio jack and a main 8 MP camera and front 5 MP camera. Accessories include a rugged case and a rugged case with flip cover and kickstand. The WiFi model starts at 200 euros and the 4G one at 240 euros.
