Lenovo debuted a bunch of new tablets today, including the Lenovo Yoga Pad Pro 13 incher, which stands out through a special feature: it can double as an external monitor. The device has a handle, which can be used as a kickstand and its bulkier part includes two ports: one USB-C and one micro HDMI.
The micro HDMI is special, because it lets you use the device like an external screen for your laptop or videogame console even. The screen on board of this device is not half bad, a 13 inch LTPS IPS LCD panel with a 2160 x 1350 pixel resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio and 100% sRGB coverage. There’s HDR10 and Dolby Vision support and 400 nits of brightness too. We also have 4 JBL speakers with 5 cm cube chambers and smart amps. They deliver a total of 9W of power and also offer Dolby Atmos support.
The tablet packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Lenovo Yoga Pad 13 runs on Android 11 with ZUI 12.5 on top and you can also get an optional stylus to work with it, supporting 4096 levels of pressure. There’s a 10.200 mAh battery in the mix, good enough for 12 hours of video playback or 8 and a half hours of display mode functioning (external screen). On the connectivity front, we get USB-C 3.1, micro HDMI, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2.
Then we also get an 8 MP front camera, with a 3D ToF sensor for authentication. The whole thing weighs 830 grams and its back side is covered with Alcantara, while the kickstand is made of stainless steel and can rotate 180 degrees. The product is already up for preorder here priced at $515.
