Dell is keeping busy these days, with launches already started at IFA 2017. They’re debuting laptops, convertibles and VR headsets. One of the convertibles is the Dell Series 7000 Kaby Lake-R model below. Dell Inspiron 7000 is a bit of a premiere: the first 17 inch 2 in 1 on the market.

The big screen makes for good use in tent mode actually. These products start off at $950 and they feature 8th gen Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processors, plus the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics, with 2 GB of GDDR5 RAM. The screens are Full HD IPS material and you can get up to 16 GB of RAM to go with the package. SSD and HDD options are also available in abundance.

Battery life is pegged at 11 hours and we’re dealing with a hefty 6.6 pounder here. Connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports (generation 1 and one of them is used as a power port), an USB 2.0 port and an SD card reader. There’s also Windows Hello in the mix and pen input. The Inspiron 7000 series of convertibles is actually larger, including 13 inch and 15 inch models, with the same Intel generation 8 chipsets.

The 15 incher goes to 4K resolution and the graphics card is a GeForce 940MX with up to 4 GB of memory. The 13 incher goes from $900 and the 15 incher from $850. Even non convertible options are available within this series, so basically laptops with no rotating hinge. They share all specs, but they’re lighter. They start at $800.
