Alcatel’s freshest tablet, the Pixi 4 (7) just debuted in India, where it’s priced upwards from $61. The machine has a WiFi and 4G version and of course the 4G one is a bit pricier, at $100. Let’s see what we get for such an amount of money.

The Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) has a dual SIM setup and it’s available in Smoky Grey and Volcano black. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and uses a 7 inch screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The Pixi 4 (7) 4G relies on a 1.1 GHz quad core MediaTek MT8735D processor, as well as 1 GB of RAM. The 4G model has an 8 MP back camera and a front 5 MP shooter.

16 GB of storage are also here, as well as a microSD card slot and a 4000 mAh battery. The slate measures 8.9 mm in thickness and weighs 260 grams. Connectivity includes 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and USB 2.0. This device is intended for milennials who consume video on the go. Interestingly, the device is advertised as dust and splash proof.

The WiFi version of the device has a downgraded battery and camera config, with a 2580 mAh unit, a 2 MP main camera and a 0.3 MP front shooter. Storage also goes to 8 GB.
