Even though Microsoft is the headliner this week, having an event scheduled tomorrow, HP made some announcements of its own today. They debuted the Spectre x2 2 in 1 tablet, which leaked just hours ago. The same company also launched the HP Envy latest gen notebook.
The fresh Spectre has a redesigned exterior, plus improved specs, compared to the predecessor. It can be bought with up to a 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16 GB of RAM, plus 1 TB of storage. HP included here fast charging technology, which apparently is able to fuel up the machine to 50% in just 30 minutes. Specs include a 12.3 inch 3000 x 2000 pixel display, which is a bump from the Full HD screen of the predecessor.
There’s a 13 MP back shooter, a 5 MP front camera and this one has Windows Hello for authentication purposes. There’s also a beautiful kickstand and a full sized magnetic detachable keyboard. HP will start selling the product in June this year and it’ll be available in dark ash silver, with prices starting at $999. HP also debuted new Envy notebooks: Envy x360, Envy 13 and Envy 17.
The latter can be bought with up to a Kaby Lake Core i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Graphics aren’t bad, since we also get an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics chip, plus a fingerprint scanner and Windows Hello. Envy 13 has a Kaby Lake Core i5 CPU, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage. 14 hours of battery life sound great here and there’s a 13 inch FHD screen embedded.
Finally, the HP Envy x360 has a 15.6 inch screen, up to a Kaby Lake i7 processor and up to 16 GB of RAM, as well as 1 TB of storage. Envy 13 goes for $899 (basic version) and $1049 for the Envy 360, while Envy 17 is up for purchase now at $999.
