A fresh Samsung tablet, going by the codename of SM-P585 has just passed through the FCC certification program, hinting at the release of an upcoming slate. This model also came with the render below and we could see it at IFA 2016.
The interesting thing about is that it has a flash for the main camera, an atypical approach for a Samsung tablet. The design also hints at a size around 8 inches, but the listing doesn’t reveal much in the way of specs, aside from the usual Bluetooth 4.2 LTE, GPS, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac and LTE in the bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20 and 40.
I find this codename to be very interesting, because Samsung tablets usually have a codename with the pattern SM-Txxx, but the P here may be an indication of “Phone” features, so it’s maybe a mega phablet of sorts, like the Mega series Samsung used to have.
