The end of 2015 brought us an avalanche of Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book copycats, but 2016 seems to continue the trend. Thus it’s no wonder we get to see the Smartron t.book device shown below, a 2 in 1 Windows 10 laptop, priced at $604.

This model comes from Indian brand Smartron and it’s a hybrid that was unveiled during a media event taking place in New Delhi. The tablet comes with a flip-stand and keyboard, that let it turn into a full fledged laptop. This model has an aluminum and magnesium body, that hosts a battery offering 10 hours of functioning time on a single charge.

t.book brings a 12.2 inch 2560 x 1600 pixel IPS display, with an aspect of 16:10 and it also comes coated with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic layer. Powered by an Intel Core M processor with 4 MB of cache and turbo frequency of 2 GHz, this model also has 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a 128 GB SSD. The camera combo here includes a 5 MP back shooter and 2 MP front model.

There are also two full size USB 3.0 ports in the mix, as well as one USB Type C port, one micro HDMI and a microSD card slot. Windows 10 is the OS here, accompanied by Office 2016, in a 30 day trial version. The product is up for purchase here from April 8th.
