ViewSonic is a tablet maker we’ve written about throughout the years, although they haven’t launched many products recently. Well, today they’re in the news again, courtesy of the PT1080 Pen Tablet, a 10.1 inch slate with Windows and an innovative type of pen technology.

It’s an electromagnetic resonance pen tablet, usable in order to sign documents, via the Mobile E-Signature solution. The slate has a 10 point touch panel with palm rejection and the device runs Windows 8.1. This device may come in handy in offices and legislative environments, as well as for notaries and lawyers. It also gets rid of all those piles of paper contracts to sign.

The electromagnetic resonance touch pen works without the use of battery, which is another advantage. The slate has a precision of 200 PPS and 5080 LPI, while the pen offers 1024 pressure levels. ViewSonic PT1080 has a quad core Bay Trail-T processor, clocked at 1.33 GHz and also packing 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, mini HDMI connectivity, a microSD card slot and a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
