HP Mesquite is a 7 inch Android tablet we’ve heard about before, only this time we get a full rundown of the offer it will be involved with come Black Friday. The product will be available exclusively at Walmart with a $89 price tag.
This budget slate actually has some good specs that include an Intel Medfield Atom CPU, a low cost chip that may not be a Bay Trail, but it’s still OK for basic functionality. HP Mesquite packs a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 CPU, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, supports a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and comes with WiFi, Bluetooth and a front VGA webcam.
There’s also 8 GB of storage here, a microSD card slot, an accelerometer and a battery that offers up to 5 hours of run time on a full charge. HP Mesquite runs Android 4.1 and if you don’t find it good enough, you can opt for a Dell Venue 8, at $99 with the purchase of a PC or maybe the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 for $299.99.
