Nokia started the show today in Abu Dhabi by announcing a few very interesting phablets and tablets, including a midrange 6 inch model we haven’t heard much about previously. Meet the Nokia Lumia 1320, pictured below.
We’re dealing with a Windows Phone 8.1 phablet here, one that offers a 720p display resolution and not the Full of the Lumia 1520. This device gets the 4G LTE connectivity, but it drops the CPU down to a dual core Snapdragon 400 unit, the one from the Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini. Pureview technology is missing, so instead we get a regular 5 megapixel camera.
We still get the new Nokia Camera app from the Lumia 1520, so at least there’s that. Other specs include a VGA front cam, microSD card slot, 8 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and a 3400 mAh battery. LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth are also here, but there’s no wireless charging, in case you’re wondering. the device will come with the usual offering of Nokia Music, HERE Maps and Windows Phone 8.1 as the OS.
The debut of this handset is scheduled for Asia first, then Europe, with a price tag of $399 before taxes.
