The list of confusing name pattern continues, so after ASUS and Google named the new Nexus 7 just Nexus 7, now Samsung launched a Galaxy Note 10.1. It’s true that this is a 2014 of the slate, but still… Anyway, the device came today during IFA 2013 and it’s detailed below.

The product is expected to hit the market in Q3 2013, which makes the 2014 Edition naming kind of odd. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 features a 10.1 inch 2560 x 1600 pixel display, 3 GB of RAM and 16 to 64 GB of storage. It also has a microSD card slot, runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and packs a 8220 mAh battery. It packs an S Pen bundled with it and it will be available in a WiFi only, 3G and 4G LTE model.

The 4G unit will pack a 2.3 GHz quad core processor, most likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, while the other versions will rely on the Exunos 5 Octa chipset. The device runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and integrates an 8 megapixel rear shooter, a 2 MP front camera and multi window features. On the connectivity side there’s also WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS and Glonass. The whole thing manages to keep it at 0.31 inches in thickness and a weight of 1.2 pounds.
