Nokia has recently announced that it intends to delay the launch of the N900 Internet tablet. Initially, the product was scheduled for an October launch and Nokia’s preorder site still mentions this date, but in reality the release is now set for November. Reuters claims that the delay is caused by Nokia’s need for more feedback from its developers.
We remind you that Nokia N900’s price tag is $649 and this product could very much change the outcome of this year and future of Nokia, specially when it’ll be sold right next to the Apple tablet, in store shelves. The N900 runs Nokia’s very own OS, Maemo 5, based on Linux and providing support for multitasking, web browsing via Mozilla and more.
There’s also a touchscreen on board, a sliding keyboard, an ARM Cortex A8 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 5 megapixel camera.
