A while ago Sprint had an appealing offer for a tablet, priced at $99 on a two year contract, for a model called ZTE Optik. Now they have another appealing offer, this time for the ZTE Optik 2 and with a much lower price of just $30.
Obviously it involves a commitment to the carrier and more details are mentioned in the following lines. The slate may not look impressive on the outside, but the performance is quite good. We’re dealing with a 7 inch slate with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 8 GB of storage.
There’s also support for 3G networks, but not support for 4G LTE. Sprint also provides some packages of data traffic here, going from 25 MB to 100 MB, 2 GB and even 12 GB of traffic, priced at $79.99 per month. One thing I noticed about this device and I find to be unique for such a slate is its camera flash.
