Not only Samsung launched a device meant for binge watching TV shows this year, but also Toshiba. They’re calling it a portable TV, but it may as well be a tablet. It’s dubbed Toshiba Regza 10wp1.
The standout feature here is the waterproof case of the device and the new model packs a 10.1 inch display. It will be in stores around November 27th, priced at $364. This model can be used in the kitchen or bathroom easily, thanks to its IPX5 waterproofing technology. Its touchscreen is easy to operate even with wet hands.
On board we find a liquid crystal display, with wide view angles and a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Since this is supposed to be a TV after all, it has a terrestrial digital tuner of the 12 segment type and also offers support for external antenna connection. A 40 mm diameter speaker system is integrated (2 W x 2 ch output), as well as WiFi, Ethernet, DLNA and a battery good enough for 4 hours of usage. This product weighs 1.2 kg.
