Toshiba has a new Portege laptop out, a compact machine that weighs 2.3 pounds and measures 0.63 inches in thickness. It also integrates a 13.3 inch display and inside it comes with a lot of raw power. It’s available with up to a Core i7 Kaby Lake processor and more hardware, detailed below.

This machine has up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of PCIe solid state storage and I have to say it’s quite a pricey laptop, at $1450. This price has an explanation, as Toshiba has scaled back its consumer area in USA over the past years, focusing on the enterprise and business area. Back to the newcomer, this notebook features Intel vPro technology, as well as a fingerprint scanner and it’s paired with a 3 year warranty.

Windows 10 Pro software is available on board and connectivity options are quite solid, with two USB Type C 3.1 ports, an USB 3.0 port, a microSD card slot, HDMI and Thunderbolt 3, as well as a 48 Whr battery. Everything is stuffed inside a magnesium chassis with a metallic blue color. Various configs of this model have popped up, including one with a Core i7-7600U CPU, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, plus a Full HD screen at $1563. It’s sold by CDW.
