It’s been a while since I’ve heard something about Toshiba when it comes to new Android tablets. Now they’re apparently back with something that looks like a new tablet, a device codenamed Toshiba Excite 10SE/AT300SE, that has just reached the FCC for testing purposes and it’s rumored to be running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

This is expected to be an upgraded Excite 10 tablet, an European spec WiFi model, that also had a Bluetooth listing and speed tests done not so long ago. The device has been spotted in the GLBenchmark performance charts not so long ago, going as AT300SE and running Jelly Bean. Android 4.1 isn’t available on any of the Toshiba Excite models right now, so that’s the main novelty here. We’re expecting it to pack a 1280 x 800 pixel display and a 1.3 GHz Tegra 3 CPU, according to leaks.

That’s all we know right now and frankly it doesn’t sound too appealing or different from what the Xperia Tablet S or the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 have to offer… Well, at least this model may launch with Jelly Bean installed, so that’s a good start.
