Target recently announced that it’ll start selling the Apple iPad tablet in its stores from October 2 2010, with 6 versions available for the general public. The product is already on sale at Apple’s stores and Best Buy, but Target is also a popular store and this is good news for those of you who didn’t yet buy the unit.
The minimum price will be $499 for the 16GB WiFi iPad and Target will also be selling the 3G version. AT&T’s network will come into play and there’s no need to contact the carrier to setup the connection, as 3G will be set up on the device.
Users will manage tariffs via settings pages and there’s no minimum contract, so you can only activate cellular connectivity when you want to use it.
