Seton Hill University is the author of a premiere: the first educational institute to give all its students Apple tablets. The university in Greensburg, Pennsylvania has made this announcement yesterday and we learn that the iPad units will be available for its students starting in Fall, 2010. Every full time student will get one, as part of the Technology Advantage Program.
Students will be able to download textbooks on their iPads, using the iBook Store and the devices will also be used as phone and sharing units. This isn’t the first time that Seton Hill gives Apple devices to its students, since the university also hands out 13 inch MacBook units to undergraduate students.
