Samsung hasn’t released any new tablet at CES 2015, which was a bit of a surprise, so we’re expecting them to make up for that at MWC 2015. What’s strange is the lack of leaks in that area, but today we got uncover some bits and pieces that may interest you.
The South Korean giant has started working on at least 4 new tablets, with codenames for some of them published below. These products are part of the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note series. We’ve got the Galaxy Tab AS (Small), aka the SM-T350/351 and Galaxy Tab AL (Large), also known as the SM-T550/T551, that may end up as the follow-ups to the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and Tab 4 10.1 models.
It could be too early for Galaxy Tab 5, or maybe not… The Galaxy Note and Note Pro units are also due for upgrades, through the SM-P350/351 and SM-P550/P551 also mentioned by this leak. The P350 could be a 7 or 8 inch slate, while the P550 may be a 10 or 12 incher. Since work on them has just started, Android 5.0 Lollipop is a sure thing and their release will rather come in Q2 or Q4.
Could this mean we’ll see no new Samsung tablets at MWC? Here’s the full list of newcomers:
