Samsung may be readying something more than just a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, it seems, as proof has appeared that they’re making a Samsung Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 device. Apparently, the recently leaked codename SM-T583 has to do with that. Let’s see what we have below.

The codename mentioned above is associated to a device that has never been released, which has made many people speculate on it. What could it be? A Tab S? A detachable? Something entirely new? Well, according to Sammobile, it could be the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1. They mention that the original model came with a SM-T580 codename, so the new name lines up with it.

Samsung didn’t have a 2017 version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, so that’s why they could try and make up for it. They did have a new Galaxy Tab a 8 incher last year. Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 could end up having a stylus, an older Exynos CPU and probably a great battery life, as Tab A models and their brethren have had. Expectations are that we’ll see a 10.1 inch screen in the mix, for sure.

Some say it may even end up as a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy Tab S4.
