Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.9 and Tab S2 9.7 were pretty well liked tablets last year, but now they’re ready to get some solid follow-ups, as recent developments have shown. A certain Samsung SM-T819, considered to be the Tab S3 9.7 has been certified by the FCC and it appears similar to its predecessor.
Word’s out that both Tab S3 models will sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa core processor, as well as 2048 x 1536 pixel resolutions. Slates are expected to bring 3 GB of RAM, 8 MP back cameras and 2 MP front shooters, plus at least 32 GB of storage. These specs are very similar to the ones of the Galaxy Tab S2, so we can’t help but wonder what the selling point will be.
Android Marshmallow will be preinstalled and the design will also be similar to the models before. The FCC published the sketches you see here, for the model number SM-T819, offering all those hints. The same authority revealed that the Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 comes with AT&T-compatible LTE bands (2, 4 and 17), so we expect a launch on that carrier.
Still waiting to find out what the selling point is, though…
