Samsung may have launched a slew of new devices this year, but an affordable tablet is definitely not one of them. We have the Tab S9, Tab S9+, Tab S9 Ultra right now, but we also have the Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ incoming. There’s now another model, the Galaxy Tab A9, which should be coming soon enough.

The slate will show up at IFA 2023 in early September and it has already been certified by the FCC and Wi-Fi certification listings. The live pics are low res and don’t show much, but we do have schematics with the general design. The Galaxy Tab A8 sequel has a single back camera, also Power and volume buttons on the right side, plus a 3.5 mm audio jack and USB-C port at the bottom.

Oddly enough, a mere 5100 mAh battery is inside, which is kind of small compared to the Tab A8 and its 7040 mAh battery. The previous model came in 2021 and it uses a 2 GHz octa core Unisoc Tiger T618 processor, a 10.4 inch FHD+ display and 2, 3, 4 GB of RAM and 32, 64 or 128 GB of storage. There’s an 8 megapixel camera at the back and 5 MP front cam.

Tab A9 will likely keep most specs and a sub $250 price tag.
