Today brings yet another leak for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 affordable tablet, which leaked on Wi-Fi Alliance. On this occasion we also got a confirmation on the device’s final name, which is Tab A8. It also appears under the codename SM-X205.
The listing confirms both the name and also the fact that it will support both 2.4 GHz and 5G GHz Wi-Fi. Previously, the device was found in the GeekBench database, revealing it had an Unisoc T618 CPU on board. It also runs on Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.0 on top. According to other previous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 packs a 10.5 inch FHD 60 Hz LCD panel, plus an 8 MP main camera with LED flash.
There’s also a 5 MP front camera for videocalls and selfies. Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 comes in 3 configs:
- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage
4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage
4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage
The battery is a 7040 mAh unit and the device will be available in gold, grey and silver. We’ll probably also get a 4G version of the slate, with a slightly higher price. I expect a 2021 release, even though the year end is close.
