Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 was one of the most leaked tablets from Samsung recently, but it’s ready to hand over the baton to another device. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2021) has just had its specs confirmed by two sources: a Bluetooth SIG certification and a GeekBench leak.
As the name points out, the Galaxy Tab A8 2021 is going to be an entry level and affordable tablet, so the price should be less than $300. The device has been benchmarked on GeekBench and bears the codenames SM-X200 and SM-X205. The former is a Wi-Fi only model, while the latter is a LTE model. Inside we find an UNISOC T618 processor, also found on the HTC A100 tablet, paired with 3 GB of RAM.
Software-wise it runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.x applied on top. The device was leaked in CAD renders at some point (a while ago), with measurements of 246.7 x 161.8 x 6.9 mm. It should have a metal body with thick bezels and a 10.4 inch TFT LCD FHD+ panel with a front facing camera on the right bezel. The product has Power and volume keys on the right side, plus an USB-C port at the bottom.
It also brings quad speakers, with Dolby Atmos, an audio jack and a 7040 mAh battery. There’s an 8 MP back camera and a 5 MP front shooter. The slate should drop in 3 colors: silver, gray and gold. We have yet to score an official launch date for the device.
