Samsung claims that 10 million units of the current Galaxy Note smartphone have been sold. The 2nd generation Note smartphone is expected to be announced later this month on August 29th during IFA 2012 Berlin. Rumored specs include an Exynos 4 quad-core chipset with the CPU clocked at 1.5 Ghz. There is an 8MP camera on the back capable of shooting 1080p video. Screen wise the Galaxy Note II will feature a  5.5-inches Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display, at a resolution of 1280 x 800, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Other features include the S Pen stylus, an 2600mAh battery, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer sensors.

As you can see above, Know Your Mobile claim to have a first picture showing the Galaxy Note II. The design fits the recent leak of the front panel. From the picture we can immediately tell that the device does not resemble the Galaxy SIII as recent rumors suggested. Instead it looks like Samsung chose to retain a design similar to that of the current gen Note smartphone. We also notice a similar coloring and chic silver edging to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. The Note II is expected to launch running Android Jelly Bean.
