After a period of speculation and teasing, some leaks and patents we now have a crucial piece of the puzzle known as the Samsung foldable phone. Turns out it’ll be called Samsung Galaxy Fold, according to Evan Blass.

For a while the name “Galaxy F” was thrown around, Galaxy Fold also appeared and even a “Flex” particle was trying to make its way into headlines. Samsung Galaxy Fold is the way to go though. Ever since SDC 2018 in November, its specs haven’t changed too much. We still expect a 7.3 incher in tablet mode, that when folded proposes a 4.58 inch screen.

The smaller screen has a 21:9 aspect and a 1960 x 840 pixel resolution. The larger display folds and offers a resolution of 2152 x 1536 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 4.2:3. Inside we should find a Snapdragon 855 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and also two batteries, with a capacity of 2190 mAh each. Obviously Android Pie is on board, plus One UI and probably an extra layer of customization.

This won’t be a device for everyone, as it’s said to even cost more than $1500, or even $1700. Expect it during Samsung’s Unpacked event over the next 24 hours or so, if all goes well. MWC 2019 at the latest!
