ThinkFlood’s RedEye is a solution able to transform your iPod or iPhone into an universal remote, but now it can also do the same with your Apple iPad tablet. RedEye Mini is the latest version of the small accessory, using infrared instead of WiFi and coming with a free app for many IR-compatible devices, including TVs, DVD and Blu-ray players, plus even the Xbox 360.
RedEye Mini goes on sale this Spring for $49. This product is basically a simple headphone port adapter, a tiny accessory that you can carry with you anywhere. It’ll even be compatible with a custom macro that turns on your home theatre gear when you shake your iPod/iPhone, at least in theory.
