A new piece of the puzzle called Realme Pad was unveiled today and it seems that we finally have a launch date for the first Realme tablet. The device will go live on September 9th and it’s going to have a slim and light body.

On the same date the company will introduce the Realme 8i and Realme 8s 5G. The tablet will be just 6.9 mm thick and it should also be very light. I supposed it won’t go below 400 grams though. We’re also teased with a “full scale audio visual experience at a cinematic level”, plus “top notch sound quality and an amazing screen”. A great e-reading experience is also promised, plus an eye friendly one.

Thanks to a recent GeekBench leak we learned that the device would arrive with a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, Android 11 and 4 GB of RAM. There should also be a model with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Other rumored specs include a 10.4 inch screen, two 8 MP cameras and a microSD card slot. There should also be a 7100 mAh battery, an USB-C port and two color options: Grey and gold.

RAM will be LPDDR4x and storage eMMC 5.1, so this is a bit of a bummer and clearly shows we have a budget slate here. There will be no audio jack, according to leaked renders.
