The Ramos I9 is a tablet that uses the “latest Intel Atom processor”, as promoted by its maker. This device relies on the Intel Atom Z2580 CPU and it’s priced at below $200, in fact $192, thanks to a special promotion.
It features a 1920 x 1200 pixel display with 8.9 inch diagonal and the case was made using CNC technology. The slates measures 8.5 mm in thickness, comes in black or white and its CPU is a dual core unit, bundled with the fifth generation Power VR GPU. We’ve got 2 GB of RAM on board, 16 GB of storage and a 2 megapixel webcam, as well as a 5 megapixel main camera.
As far as I know, this slate has been available for a few months now, but the price drop is the really appealing aspect here. This discount cuts about $70 of the original model’s price. Sadly, the OS here is merely Android 4.2, which may be a turn off for potential customers. This model also brings Bluetooth, WiFi, USB OTG, a microSD card slot and weighs a hefty 441.7 grams.
