NTT DoCoMo has just showcased a bunch of devices, including a handset or two, plus some phablet/handset devices, like the one below. Meet the Panasonic ELUGA X, a 5 inch 1080p quad core device, that’s codenamed P-02E. Eluga is still a young series, debuting from Panasonic’s portofolio last year, at MWC 2012.
Eluga X packs a LCD display with a 5 inch diagonal and Full HD resolution, as well as a quad core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon Pro CPU and a 13.2 megapixel camera. The handset adopts an elongated rectangular design, that for some reason makes me think of the recently leaked HTC M7. The device is shown in black and teal, with the latter being a very interesting color choice for it.
Specifications also include a 2320 mAh battery, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, LTE connectivity and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Panasonic has been dabbling in the arts of smartphone making for less than a year now and they seem to have a hard time expanding beyond Japan and some areas of Europe. Japanese customers will pick up the Eluga X from NTT DoCoMo on January 30th.
