Oregon Scientific has just launched a new tablet, the MEEP! X2 for kids, a product on sale right now at Toys ‘r’ US stores and online. The price tag of the newcomer is $149.99 and the device is shown below.
We’re dealing with a child oriented tablet that adopts a sleek design, two built in cameras and Android 4.2 as the OS. It packs a dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot. Bluetooth 4.0 is also on board the MEEP! X2 is splash and shock resistant, plus it includes parental controls, that can be set up from a PC or mobile devices.
The product comes with the MEEP! Store preinstalled, with over 800 games and apps available, also allowing access to the Play Store. Specs here also include a VGA front camera, a back 2 MP rear cam and a Lithium Polymer high capacity battery. By the way, isn’t “meep” the sound made by the roadrunner?
