OPPO’s Pad Mini is built around an unusually high-end compact-tablet formula: an 8.8-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, and a body weighing about 282 grams. But early listings outside China suggest that buyers in some markets may have a much narrower memory choice than the one initially introduced there.
OPPO’s Singapore site lists the Pad Mini Matte Display Edition only in Lavender Purple with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The same 8GB/256GB combination appears in OPPO’s Thailand store, while a Vietnamese retailer has listed a Pad Mini Wi-Fi model with that configuration and says availability is coming soon, without posting a price.
Higher-capacity models are still China-only
China has additional Pad Mini configurations with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. All versions use LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, but the larger capacities could matter more on a tablet positioned for demanding games, downloaded movies, and offline files. A 256GB model will have less usable space once the operating system, preinstalled apps, game updates, and downloadable content are accounted for.

The Matte Display Edition otherwise retains the core hardware intended to make the small slate suitable for both entertainment and portable productivity:
- Display: 8.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 2520 × 1680 resolution and refresh rate of up to 144Hz
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
- Battery: 8,000mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC charging
- Design: approximately 282 grams and 5.46mm thick
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB-C 3.2 Gen 1
- Cameras and software: 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and ColorOS 16
For reading, web browsing, streaming, and lighter work, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage may be sufficient. The unresolved question is whether OPPO will bring the 12GB and 512GB versions to more markets, especially for buyers looking at the Pad Mini as a compact gaming device. OPPO has begun a Malaysia reservation campaign, but U.S. availability, configurations, and pricing remain unconfirmed.
