We’ve covered rumors about an OPPO or Vivo tablet multiple times, but it appears there’s also a OnePlus tablet brewing. Dubbed OnePlus Pad, the device is said to run Android 12L out of the box. Today we have more info on it.
OnePlus Pad may end up as a rebadged Realme Pad or a rebranded Oppo Pad, if and when that debuts. The slate should boot with Android 12L, which is a new version of Android tailor made for devices with large screens and foldables. This version of Android is more optimized and polished, making multitasking more powerful and intuitive. On large screens the notification shade takes advantage of the space by showing Quick Settings and notifications as a two column layout. There’s also a new taskbar, that makes it easier to launch and switch between apps on the go. Multiple split screen and drag and drop gestures are available.
According to reports the product will go official in the first quarter of 2022. It should also debut in India in the first half of the year. If specs are in any way similar to the OPPO Pad, we’re expecting a 120 Hz screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, 13 MP back camera and 8 MP front shooter. 33W fast charging or higher should be here, plus 8 GB of RAM and quad speakers.
