Onda is a brand we’ve heard of a couple of times, usually linked to affordable Windows tablets and even some dual boot models. Today their name comes up again, related this time to an affordable Windows 10 tablet, with a Cherry Trail processor on board.
The device is dubbed Onda V919 Air Ch and it costs $157. The chip on board is a 64 bit Cherry Trail one, based on a 14 nm process and it will make Windows 10 sail really smooth. Other specs include 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM, which are excellent specs for a sub $200 tablet. The screen here is a 9.7 inch one with “Retina” resolution. This is actually 2048 x 1536 pixels in case you’re wondering and the slate also gets an IGZO screen panel.
Screen brightness is said to be reach 300 lumens and high energy efficiency is guaranteed by the Sharp panel. This is also a good looking tablet, with a 7.9 mm waistline and an edge to edge (almost) screen. The Onda V919 Air Ch weighs 450 grams, being quite light for its product segment. WiFi, micro HDMI and Bluetooth 4.0 round up the specs, together with a generous 7200 mAh battery. The device can be bought here and apparently there’s also a keyboard in the mix.
