Microsoft is said to be launching the Surface Pro 4 tablet on October 6th, but till then we have a few more interesting devices to glance at, drawing our attention from the mainstream. One of them is the Onda model pictured below, with an 8 inch display. This device was announced today and it’s priced at $115.

The full name is Onda V820W CH and it will be up for sale over the next weeks. It brings a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS panel and inside we find the pretty solid Intel Atom X5 Z8300 quad core processor, clocked at 1.84 GHz, 2 GB of DDR3L memory, 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot, with support for up to 128 GB in cards. There’s a 2 megapixel front camera, Bluetooth, WiFi and HDMI output, too.

I expect to see Office 365 thrown in together with Windows 10 and for this tablet to appear rebranded under various companies’ logos, at least in Europe. The format is pretty typical, with a plastic portrait oriented design and a small speaker at the back.
