After a waiting time that seemed like forever, the Notion Ink Adam slate has finally received a shipping date – around Wednesday. Also, the product has passed the FCC and we must mention that the slate has received the Best of CES 2011 honorable mention, which is pretty good considering it had to go against some pretty massive tablets.

Engadget had some positive impressions on the device, but they’re yet to touch the final product. The final code of the product is NI3421A01, which is pretty nerdy, especially if you know that 3421 are consecutive numbers in the Fibonacci series. Last we heard, the basic LCD WiFi version of the tablet was available for $375.33, while the 3G one was $425.44.

You can also purchase one with a Pixel Qi display, starting from $499.95.
