Mohamed Madgy Mahmoud is the creator of a nifty Nokia Windows 8 tablet concept, that’s pictured below and comes with a bunch of specs that I’ve been before, associated to some other Nokia slate renders. We’re dealing here with what the designer calls a 12 inch tablet, with a 1920 x 1090 pixel resolution and a 12 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.
4 surround speakers are also on board and even 3 USB ports somehow make the cut. Add to that a HDMI port, a SIM slot, an 8 megapixel front camera and a Windows button at the side and you’ve got gold. The device seems a bit rounded, so it reminds me of the HP TouchPad or the Motorola Xoom 2, if you want. There’s also a front camera in the mix and I’m sure that the 4 speakers can provide incredible audio quality. One thing Nokia should look out for is not giving the slate too much bass, or integrating it wisely, so that the back won’t vibrate like it did on the Xoom 2.
Honestly speaking, 12 inch a bit too much here, but considering Samsung is rumored to be making a quad core 11.6 inch Galaxy Tab, nothing astonishes me anymore. There was also a good idea on Mynokiablog, in a comment, saying that Nokia should pick up the design and also make a cheaper 720p version. Would you buy that?
