While most of us are sure that the Nintendo NX console/tablet will come in spring 2017 according to leaks, there’s now a rumor floating around, saying that the device will in fact arrive next week! The details have appeared online, courtesy of investment firm Macquarie Group.

They’re convinced we could see the slate next week and it’s likely just a presentation, followed by a release in 2017. Lately we’ve heard that the device may well be associated with Google’s Project Tango, since Nintendo already worked with Google AR tech courtesy of Niantic. The investment firm we mentioned before also says that the NX price tag will be a “major disappointment” for volume sales, but it’ll be good for the average customer.

Figures like $300 to $350 are being thrown around, which is not bad at all. The idea is to compete with the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, or their new versions, the PS4 Slim and Xbox One S, priced similarly. We remind you the console is said to have 4K streaming support, but only for videos. Games are played at 1080p and 60 FPS.

Game cartridges will be used and a unit bundled with 4 cartridges could cost $400, according to other rumors. The jury is still out regarding the final name of the product and its OS… We can’t help but wonder what happened with the detachable controllers.
