Xiaomi is always expanding its product lineup and for the past years, they’ve become a trustworthy name, even in the laptop area. Now they seem to be prepping a brand new laptop, part of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook series. It has just leaked in GeekBench, so let’s check it out.
We don’t know much about the size or other specs, not even the diagonals. What we do know is that it’s going to rely on the current gen Intel Core i5-8265U processor, a 2018 quad core CPU, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. The device runs Windows 10, which is no surprise and we expect the usual MacBook-style or Huawei MateBook-style design.
One thing that would be nice this time around would be an European keyboard. The scores in GeekBench look pretty solid, between the 4412 points of the single core sub test and the 12.414 of the multi core one. In 2018 Xiaomi launched a bunch of notebooks, including Core i3 cheaper versions. They even have gaming laptops out and also Core i7 alternatives.
They’re covering all bases, except for maybe business laptops. Expect metal cases, silver, rose gold and gold versions, perhaps even some more solid graphics cards as time passes.
