Samsung has been working on a new Super AMOLED slate for a while now, with a variety of diagonals being speculated. This would mark the first AMOLED tablet from the company, ever since Galaxy Tab 7.7 from 2011. Now a new model is coming, with details below…
The folks of SamMobile.com have found out that the device is real and that it will come in a WiFi, 3G and LTE version, with model numbers being SM-T800, SM-T801 and SM-T805. The display resolution will be 2560 x 1600 pixels, just like the res of the latest Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro models. This info is supported by the user agent string for the SM-T800 on the Samsung website.
The screen size is unknown, but it could be anywhere between 8 inch or 10 inches, according to previous rumors. The newcomer will have an Exynos 5 series CPU, Android 4.4.2 KitKat as the OS with the TouchWiz overlay in the form of Magazine UX. Samsung is also testing Galaxy S5 features on the AMOLED tablet, such as the Ultra Power Saving Mode function.
