@evleaks is back with new leaks, this time related to tablets. I’m talking about a new generation of Kindle Fire HD slates, that have their interface leaked in the shot below.

Autumn is usually the time when Amazon debuts products and we’re expecting that to happen any day now. We’ve already heard rumors about rumors and specs of the new slates, but this time we’ve got an image of their UI. Amazon is supposed to keep the big bezel of the tablets and the proprietary software layer on top of Android.

We expect the UI improvements to also make it to the last gen Kindle Fire HD slates, as updates. The carousel concept is still here, but every icon looks more refined now. In other news, the new tablets from Amazon will sport angular backsides, 1920 x 1200 pixel display (7 incher), Snapdragon 800 CPUs, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 and 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage.

The 8.9 inch model will have a 2560 x 1600 pixel display and an 8 megapixel camera.
