The folks of Windows Phone Central have managed to get hold of some info related to the Surface RT and yet another price drop. It appears that Microsoft Stores will reduce the cost of the Touch Cover from the current $119.99 to a more accessible $79.99.
The price drop will take place on August 30th online and in Microsoft Stores and this is a permanent move, not a temporary offer. By the way, this affects the Surface RT bundle, that includes the Surface RT and a black Touch Cover. Right now, customers have to pay $449 for the Surface RT with 32 GB and a bundled black Touch Cover.
Or they can pay $549 for the 64 GB version. Starting on August 30th, the packages drop to $399 and $499 respectively, representing a $50 price drop. There’s no color choice for the bundle, but at least you’re saving money. This is only one of the series of reductions that has affected the Surface series for the past month, as Microsoft tries to get rid of the stock.
