It may sound strange that Microsoft has debuted a new tablet in Spain and one might believe it’s a Surface. Well, it’s not. The new device is a Real Madrid-branded slate, with an 8.9 inch display and it’s made by a Chinese OEM (Chiwu).

Dubbed “Windows Tablet Real Madrid Edition”, the product debuted in Spain, with some custom options. It includes 3 rear designs, such as Team Celebration, the Santiago Bernabeu stadium or the Real Madrid club crest. It also allows you to add your name to the rear. This special edition Windows 8.1 tablet also comes with a new Real Madrid app preinstalled, allowing fans to connect to the big RM community.

As far as specs go, the device is a reasonably specced mid to high range model. It has an 8.9 inch IPS LCD screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, a quad core Intel Atom z3735F CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 5 megapixel back camera and a 2 MP front shooter. There’s WiFi on board, Bluetooth 4.0, a 6700 mAh battery and the whole thing measures 8 mm in thickness and weighs 369 grams.

Two pricing options are available here: the slate with a custom rear design and slogan priced at $220, or the tablet with a matching Bluetooth keyboard and case plus your name and slogan for $276. The product is bundled with two free tickets for the Real Madrid matches and Office 365 Personal.
