Yesterday on July 28th we had a lot of product launches, and among them also one from the Chinese producer Lenovo who unveiled the Tab2 A8-50F tablet in Japan. This Android 5.0 Lollipop slate arrives with a 64-bit processor, more precisely a quad-core MediaTek MT8161 clocked at 1.3 GHz.
Beside the CPU, we have a 8-inch WXGA IPS display that offers a 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, 1 GB of RAM memory, 8 GB or 16 GB space of internal storage, and a 5-megapixel rear facing camera. We get a 2-megapixel selfie sensor, a 4.290 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, a microUSB v2.0 port, 3.5 mm audio jack, and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz connectivity.
Lenovo Tab2 A8-50F will be also available in a LTE variant through the SoftBank mobile operator. At the moment, this tablet is coming in two different color variants: pearl white and midnight blue. Even if the specs doesn’t seem to be as high-end as expected, the $187 price tag looks right for this one.
