After some minor leaks and some bigger teases, the Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet is now fully detailed, at least visually. Lenovo has unveiled real life photos of the device, shown below in all of its glory.
The gaming slate is of the smaller variety, with an 8.8 inch diagonal and also a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. It provides a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, plus 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Lenovo also revealed its naming pattern: 3 digits for the tablet, four digits for computers and 2 digits for the phone. The slate is quite elegant, but also petite, easy to grip with two hands, or even one when you’re browsing or reading.
The LEGION logo is quite large at the back, showing the real identity and purpose of the machine. We also seem to get a singular back camera with LED flash, generous speakers at the top and bottom and also an USB-C port. We also see some extra buttons on the sides, which may end up being physical trigger/shoulder buttons for gaming. The device will be more of a midrange affair, which is also shown by its name, Y700, but apparently there’s a Y900 higher end unit planned.
We could see a Snapdragon 888 or 870 on the midrange one and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on the flagship one. Lenovo is also preparing the Legion Y90 Gaming Phone for a January 1st unveiling.
