Lenovo has been on a roll lately and their latest financial results have shown that the company is doing very well when it comes to tablets and smartphones. They’ve got the Vibe Z2 Pro to be proud about and now a new tablet has leaked: the Lenovo IdeaTab S8-50, a model shown below.
The name IdeaTab S8 has appeared on the FCC for a while now, but today we get details about the more amply named version of the slate. Apparently, a certain Merimobiles retailer is somehow taking preorders for the slate. Those preorders set you back zero dollars, even though the tablet has a recommended price of $300. Of course, the zero dollar preorder is just a way to ensure you have an unit reserved and it’s a way for Lenovo to find out the level of interest of the public in their gear.
The Lenovo IdeaTab S8-50 will come with an 8 inch display, an Intel Atom Z3745 Bay Trail processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, an 8 megapixel back camera and a 1.6 MP front shooter. It also has a GPS, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and Android 4.4 KitKat. The format? Predictably rectangular.
